Notes Levi immigrated to Canada three months before his son Alexander joined the Canadian Army in World War I. In December 1918, a year after Alexander had returned from the war, Levi moved back to England with Alexander and Alexander's family. This narrative suggests that Levi came to Canada to help the family during the war.
