Notes
- Elmer's birth registry lists his father as Gourley Green, not John (Gourley's brother). Gourley was also the informant to Elmer's birth. However, all census records obtain lists him as John's son.
- According to a letter from Elmer to his sister Permilla (dated 19 October 1937) expressing condolences for the loss of Permilla's husband William, Elmer and Jean were living in Whitby, Ontario.
