Notes
- Note that there are two baptism records for an Emily Billyard in Kirton: 29 December 1857 and 9 August 1858. This may suggest that perhaps Nathaniel and Emily had a child named Emily who was baptised on 29 December 18757 but passed away as an infant and then Nathaniel and Emily had another daughter whom they named Emily and baptised on 9 August 1858 (less than 7 months after the first baptism). However, neither the Kirton parish burial records nor the British vital statistics indicate an infant death of an Emily Billyard between 29 December and the following 9 August in Kirton. Thus, it would seem that Emily was baptised twice.
