- Note that the birth year of each of William and Mary's children were inferred from William's will, signed on 18 June 1741, and the statement that they were all under age at the time.
- With no wife or children, the beneficiaries of William's will were his brothers Richard and George, the three sons of his sister Rebecca, the three sons of his sister Christian, his mother and his cousin Hezekiah (son of Benjamin Green).
