Notes
- In the 1881 census, William and Sarah had a visitor by the name of Charlotte Whittaker. Interestingly, her forename and birthplace matches that of William's mother Charlotte nee Hiley. Perhaps after Charlotte's husband, Henry, passed away, Charlotte re-married, but no such marriage has yet been found in the vital records.
